Vocation—and Personal Meaning
Finding Yours
To many people, “vocation” isn’t something for them, although they realize it’s somehow important for other people to discuss, worry about, or pursue.
I think this is a remnant of those aspects of our religious cultures that taught us—or our grandparents, so maybe it’s in our genes somehow—that only vowed, ordained, or professional religious life is about vocation.
The rest of us just lead our best lives in whatever way we can. If this is your perspective, I hope that the articles herein might convince you otherwise. You may even see that that “ordinary life” you’ve been living has been a vocation all along.
