    About the book

“Peace begins with each one of us: in the way we look at others, listen to others, and speak about others. We must say ‘no’ to the war of words and images.” — Pope Leo XIV

Edited and introduced by Dr. Matthias Kopp, longtime acquaintance of Pope Leo XIV (formerly Cardinal Robert Prevost), who believes deeply that Leo is the right person, at the right time, in the right place

    About the author

Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost in Chicago in 1955, is the first Augustinian pope. A missionary in Peru for over a decade, he held pastoral and academic roles before serving as Bishop of Chiclayo from 2015 to 2023. Former Prior General of the Augustinians, he was appointed Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops and made a Cardinal in 2023. Known for his humility and pastoral sensitivity, he brings North American roots and deep Latin American experience to the papacy. His episcopal motto, In Illo uno unum, reflects his Augustinian call to unity in Christ.

Dr. Matthias Kopp is the press spokesman for the German Bishops’ Conference and serves as a consultant to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication.
